SOUNDS LIKE
Destination Venus track “The Killer” could be right from Joy Division’s Closer, with its melodic, pulsing bass and rolling drum sweep and Otto’s bardic baritone. “The House of Hope and Mercy” sounds like, co-incidentally enough,
The Sisters of Mercy on, say, a bright day and listening
to some early Bowie.
It’s got a catchy hook with a memorable, and infectious, lyric. A standout worthy of single status. In fact, I think it would make for a nice slab of vinyl fantasy rotating at 45rpm. The danceable Bowie-meets-Echo & The Bunnymen vibe continues with “Dream 29.”
SAMPLE Press

Clearly Robert Smith and his somber crew are a big influence, as are Joy Division (the hulking Otto sings in a voice so deep and mournful that he makes Ian Curtis sound downright perky) and the Damned during their later, goth-y phase. All in all, it's great noise to make gloomy shapes to. FWWeekly
